Abstract: In the present work done in 1983, the study of the endemic and subendemic plants of Galicia is trackled, indicating its distribution and ecology, listing 110 taxa, of which 58 are at the species level, 42 subspecies, 8 varieties and 2 forms. Of these, 31 can be considered endemic in Galicia. Among the plants studied are two broad categories: Atlantic (19 elements) and Subatlantic or Mediterranean (12 items) while also appearing 12 montane-Atlantic and subalpine elements. Some remarks on the state of populations are explained, and the following combinations are suggested: Desmazeria marina subsp. pauciflora (Merino) Silva-Pando, comb. & stat. nova and Luzula caespitosa (Gay ex EHF Meyer) Steudel subsp. sanabriae (P. Monsta.) Silva-Pando, stat. nova. Some taxa are lectotipified.
